Cason has nearly two decades of experience investing in real estate and has accumulated a personal
portfolio of more than two dozen single family rentals. His current focus at Waterloo is fundraising and
distribution. Prior to Waterloo, Cason worked in hedge funds on the buyside as well as an allocator at
Texas Teachers. While at TRS, Cason allocated to external managers and built the internal ECM division
at TRS. He graduated from Texas A&M University, magna cum laude, with a BBA in finance and minor
in psychology. Cason is a Charterholder with both the CFA Institute and CAIA.
